Joel Ellis stands as one of rock and roll’s most gifted and unapologetically raw blues rock vocalists to emerge from the 1980s and ’90s.
Born from Cleveland, Ohio’s gritty 1970s rock explosion, Joel made his mark after moving to Hollywood during the wild
and electric ’80s.
Over the years, he led a string of powerhouse bands to international recognition, with releases on major labels including Merri Hoaxx (Atlantic Records), Cats in Boots (EMI/Virgin and Capitol Records), Heavy Bones (Warner Bros/Reprise
Records), and Ellis Island (A&M Records).
Now, Joel Ellis is re-emerging with a bold new wave of creativity. He’s unveiling a four-volume box set of rare archival recordings, digitally remixed and remastered, along with two new solo EPs.
He is also launching a groundbreaking international collaboration
with renowned artist and Vogue photographer Uldus Bakhtiozina, blending music and visual art in a project designed for fine art museums and stages around the world.
Back in the birthplace of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Joel is currently immersed in the studio, reviving unreleased tracks from his Warner Reprise era for fresh releases through Warner Music Group. His comeback is more than a return, it's a reinvention steeped in history, grit,
and the soul of rock.
